Harvard Medical School says

Neurodiversity describes the idea that people experience and interact with the world around them in many different ways; there is no one "right" way of thinking, learning, and behaving, and differences are not viewed as deficits.

Neurotypical VS Neurodivergent

The word “neurotypical” describes someone who thinks and processes information in ways that are typical within their culture. They tend to learn skills and reach developmental milestones around the same time as their peers.

In contrast, the term “neurodivergent” describes someone who processes information in a different way. ASD, ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia are all some (but not all) conditions part of the spectrum of neurodivergent.

The spectrum

Neurodivergent conditions are part of a spectrum meaning there are as many expression and intensity of each of the above conditions as there are individuals on the spectrum. Some of them as well can come with mental health conditions (Anxiety, Depression, PTSD...) and / or intellectual deficiency.
